HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Here is a video of how they celebrate birthdays, KEEC style.  The Gray Squirrel song is their extra tradition...

Welcome to Keewaydin!

Our students have all found their cabins, their study groups, and their tables in the Dining Hall. Lunch was yummy grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup. Always a favorite. Dinner was spaghetti, meatballs, and garlic bread and salad. Loads of tasty treats enjoyed by all.

Settling In to Cabins and first Circle

After arriving by the beautiful shores of Lake Dunmore and having a name tag made, students moved into their cabins for the week.

We then had our first group meeting at the fire circle by the shore.  Adults introduced themselves and then small group tours began of the campus, followed by lunch!

And We Are Off!

We are off to KEEC, please check back often for updates during the week!  Feel free to use the comments section to send us support and encouragement...

Bake Sale Success

On September 21st some of the 5/6 students, with parent help, held a bake sale during the Sale on the Green in Chester.  We raised about $230 during the day selling treats and water.  That is about the amount of money needed to send one 5/6 student to Kewaydin environmental education camp, KEEC for short.
