Canoeing in the Afternoon
Another group of intrepid paddlers took to the waters of lake Dunmore this afternoon in the bright sun. Everyone stayed out of the water, staying dry was a different story. Two canoes challenged themslves to slip under a very low underpass and sneak into the meadow beyond. This required laying flat in the boat and using your hands to pull yourself through!
Thursday choice: Rock Climbing
At KEEC they have an amazing indoor/outdoor climbing building that is one of the choices campers can make on Thursday. Here are pictures of the AM group taken by Kim French.
Thursday choice: X-Stream
A group explored a small local stream, hiking around, in, and through the stream on our way to the cabin at the top for a picnic lunch. Video was taken as well but will need to post later.
Thursday choice: canoeing
A group of adventurous campers choose to canoe on lake Dunmore. A good time was had by all, another group will launch in the next hour.
Morning of Thursday choice day
Good morning from KEEC!
At 7:15 campers with before breakfast jobs, hoppers/sweepers/dishwashers/weather watchers, report early to prep the dining hall for meals.
Fifteen minutes later we gather to eat, but also to find out what choice activity each camper will be participating in today. Hiking, canoeing, climbing wall, among other choices will be happening today, we will report out on these adventures as time allows.
