On Thursday the days activities are based around campers choices from a list of fun and adventurous adventures. Groups go out in both the morning and afternoon canoeing, here are pictures of the am group.

Canoeing on Lake Dunmore
Canoeing on Lake Dunmore was truly a privilege, with the crystal clear water and the gentle breeze. It is something I will always remember. To start this wonderful adventure we went over the parts of a canoe. Some of the things we talked about were the stern seat (the seat in back of the canoe)and the bow seat ( the seat in front of the boat). Then we went over the parts of the paddle: the grip, the throat, the shaft, the neck, the blade and the tip.
Then, we lined up and did some dryland canoeing. It was interesting but also fun at the same time. After we finished our dryland canoeing, we hopped on canoes with one student in the Stern seat, a teacher in the bow seat and another student in the middle of the canoe. I was in the Stern seat. My job and the person in the middle’s job was to be the engine of the craft. While the adult in the bow seat steered the canoe.
First, we paddled into a cove. From the cove, we could see where a landslide had happened the summer before. We stopped to look at it and shortly after, we paddled out of the cove and to the boys camp. At the boys camp we relaxed, played games and had lunch. It was so much fun.
After having lunch and playing for a while, we got back into the canoes and paddle over to the girls camp. Once we got back to camp one of my adults had to leave and we still had some time to go canoeing. So me and my friend went on the canoe alone by ourselves and it was so much fun. And that’s how our fun canoeing adventure ended. - EMG
During our time at Keewaydin I had a lot of fun canoeing. I rocked side to side and got wet but it was very fun. -CD
