Hey everyone, thanks for your awesome comments! The kids don't know that this blog is happening so I haven't passed your words on to them- they are having a tech. free experience- but we, the bloggers, like knowing that you are out there and enjoying this! Our entire house hold LOVES this blog !!! THANK YOU for keeping us up to date on the KEEC happenings! I'm still counting on a HOBO BURGER. I'll just have to wait untill Friday to put in my order. THANKS again for the updates :)!

ReplyDeleteThe hobo cookout looks so cool. I agree with everyone that having these updates makes the experience enjoyable for our whole family. I am looking forward to some help cooking at the house after this experience at KEEC.

Hobo Cookout was awesome!!!! Sarah flipped the burger twice. That was a crunchy cheese burger. My group didn’t let the fire go out at all!!!! -HBS

ReplyDeleteHobo Cookout was really fun!!!!! When we were doing our hobo cookout our fire kept on going out. Two of the burgers fell on the ground. Mine didn't fall. -RR
ReplyDeleteBefore the hobo cook out,after your morning investigation you found twigs thiner than your pinky and put them in an hiding spot. Then at the hobo cook out you would get all the twigs that you and your two partners. Then get your can with wholes and tinfoil and put the tinfoil on top and poke the wholes threw the tinfoil. Then make your TP out of birch bark and two inch long twigs. Then have one of the KEEC staff light it. Then you start cooking your burgers!

The hobo cookout was awesome!!!! We were in groups and we had to cook a hamburger on a can, and there was tinfoil over the can. To start the fire we had to peel bark into little pieces and then we had to roll the pieces of bark into a ball, and then we had to put sticks over the ball of bark. Then after we did that, somebody from the KEEC staff would come over and start the fire. Then we would put our hamburger on the tinfoil and then we would cook our hamburger. In my group we dropped 2 hamburgers on the ground accidentally. Then my teacher cleaned them off. I learned how to start a little fire with sticks and bark. HM.
ReplyDeleteIn the first picture I was sitting in the middle and about 5 minutes later i tipped over the stove and hannah had to eat it it had a lot of sand on it but it got brushed off. And then about 10 minutes after that when we were almost done with the next burger i tipped it over again. My burger was very tasty with all that dirt but i learned how to make a hobo burger. -SD
