The morning investigation called Water Power looked for evidence of old water power uses in Vermont along a setback and stream presently being used by a hydroelectric plant far below the dam. A Common Merganser (thanks for the ID Tracy J!) mom had her babies out on the water as we arrived. Campers found rocks, strange iron, stone walls, and odd buildings that were clues to the area's past.
One thing I learned when I was at Keewaydin was the water cycle. The water cycle is evaporation, condensation, precipitation and runoff . Evaporation is when the water evaporates from the lake and goes up in the sky. Then condensation comes in it means like when you leave a water bottle in the car it has water on the outside. That is what condensation kind of means. Precipitation means when it rains. Last is runoff runoff is when the water runs off a mountain and goes in a lake.
