This morning's activities all started with Choice Day Prep. The young KEECers needed to figure out what activities they wanted to do for tomorrow. It was serious business, that is why the groups look really serious! Canoeing, Froggin', Climbing, and all sorts of hikes were options. The kids will find out tomorrow AM which activities they were lucky enough to get selected for.
We'll try to report back later as well. One group had already headed out for a hike, we'll see some photos from them later. Thanks for joining our adventure and sending us the nice weather.
Another great day at KEEC and the weather is warming up nicely. We are definitely getting into the "groove" of being here. The KEEC instructors are fabulous, sharing knowledge is such a fun way. This morning I went on an investigation where we searched for an old charcoal mound. We learned how they were built, and then we tried our hand at building a small one ourselves using sticks, wet leaves and a layer of mud. Time will tell if it smoldered enough to make charcoal. So much to learn...so little time!
